#LevelUp: Find Your Power Within to Become Unstoppable

Friends, I don’t know if I can even fully explain this phenomenon - yes phenomenon - or put it into words to capture this feeling, but here’s my best shot: When I started working with my coach/therapist almost 10 years ago, I had no idea what self-love was, what healthy boundaries were, or even how to FEEL my feelings and emotions. It required work, but I slowly started to crack the hard shell I had built up to “protect” myself. I finally started to learn what it meant to truly be ME. If there was an event or place I wanted to go to, I would just go, even on my own, even if I knew it might be awkward or uncomfortable. I stopped asking for permission. I just did the things I wanted to do. If I didn’t want to do something, I didn’t. If I wanted to laugh at something, I did.

Eventually, I automatically started showing up this way. I created a whole new operating system for myself. And let me tell you… The freedom and happiness I experienced while doing this was unprecedented. It felt like I reached new levels of living that I didn’t know existed.

The good news is, as I have continued on this journey to become better, to become the best version of me - my highest self - the levels keep revealing themselves. To get to “higher” levels, I’ve learned I have to keep going deeper, look within, and keep peeling back the layers. I know I have to be vulnerable to others, do difficult things, and continually make myself uncomfortable. And although it’s challenging, I absolutely love it, because it’s SO REWARDING. Seriously. There is so much power and energy in embodying your true self.

When you’re always trying to fit in, or say the right thing, or be like someone else, you’re not actually living. Let me say that again. YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY LIVING IF YOU AREN’T STRIVING TO SHOW UP AUTHENTICALLY*

Here’s the thing, if this is new to you, don’t feel bad or be mad at yourself. Most people have never been exposed to this type of thinking or the tools to get there. But awareness is the first step. You can start your journey at any time. (Now is a great time to start 😉)

*If you’re not sure what being “authentic” means… it’s what I mentioned earlier about doing the things you want to do, behaving the way that feels natural to you, chasing your dreams, knowing and following your core values. It’s showing the world your true self. You might think it’s scary, but I promise it’s not. You ARE special and the world needs what you have to offer.
